Brand Story

Brand Origin

Beginning with craftsmanship, emphasizing innovation, and rooted in tradition.

Founded in 1975, it is rooted in the art of carving.

Founded in 1975 by Mr. Cheung-chai Cheng (1943–2013) in Hong Kong, Jinhui Carving Factory later established a processing plant in Fuzhou. The works are carved by several renowned Fuzhou ivory craftsmen, including winners of the national "Hundred Flowers Award." Over the years, the factory's carvings, characterized by its commitment to craftsmanship and quality, have been treasured by museums, international hotels, and prominent collectors both domestically and internationally, establishing the brand's reputation and standing within the industry.

The daughter inherited her father's business, allowing the craft to move from tradition to modernity.

The company was later renamed "Fengsheng Design," and Ms. Ivy Cheng, daughter of Mr. Mr. Cheung-chai Cheng, took over the business and founded the "IvyC" brand. The company is based in Hong Kong, focusing on design and R&D, and shifting its creative focus from traditional decorative items to modern jewelry, gifts, and home-related products. IvyC reinterprets traditional craftsmanship in a modern way, making it youthful, fashionable, and international, winning numerous awards in Hong Kong and overseas. It strives to establish itself as a local Hong Kong brand through innovative design and high-quality service.

From Modern Ivory to Mammoth Ivory

Following the ban on the sale of modern ivory in Hong Kong in 2021, IvyC has shifted its materials entirely to environmentally friendly and legal Mammoth Ivory, and is promoting its work globally in a more international manner. IvyC selects top-quality Mammoth Ivory from Siberia and Yakuda, combining it with a variety of fashionable and innovative designs to usher in a new chapter for the brand.

Based in Hong Kong and renowned internationally

After shifting its primary material to glacial ivory, the brand has launched a wider range of jewelry pieces combining various materials such as jade and diamonds, which have been well-received by customers worldwide. In 2023, IvyC was invited to showcase its work as a representative of traditional Chinese art in Times Square, New York. Subsequently, its pieces were featured on postage stamps worldwide, covering locations in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and other countries. IvyC's founder, Ms. Zheng Cuixia, was also selected as one of the "Top 100 Outstanding Chinese in the World" in both 2023 and early 2026, in recognition of her contributions to the preservation and inheritance of Chinese ivory carving art.
